City Walk

The Oceanside Homeless Resource was founded in November 2019. We started taking families off the streets and helping them with shelter and services. We had five families that we helped shelter and got them into permanent housing. We have an amazing Carlsbad program that’s been open for about a year and a half. It’s an emergency shelter program where we have families and individuals. Right now we do have four families over there. We started with 25 rooms and now we have seven rooms left. We work with different resources all throughout the county to help each individual move forward. Everyone is unique to where they have been and the trauma that they have to work through. We also have opened up a house in vista. This is our love on the ground house. We do have 12 rooms at this house. Majority of our clients do help with 60% of the rent and we fundraiser For the remaining. All of our clients work together and it’s a very beautiful communal atmosphere. We are bringing in resources from all over the county to help with groups and self-help classes and parenting classes and so much more weifor the remaining. We are bringing in resources from all over the county to help with groups.  We do bringing Radical and Recovery in the E4trauma method to our clients to really help them get through to the next level. This is a Transformational and Healing location. We are very much for a drug-free atmosphere and we do drug test our clients from time to time. This is a six months to a year stay. All of our clients have to work togetherWith the community's help, we bridged the resources in our hearts and raised enough money to keep them safe. We then created grassroots shelter programs, work programs, and clean up programs and work side-by-side with our unsheltered community. Our goal and our vision are to truly collaborate and combine our hearts with all the resources that are out here to build solutions.
